The School Girl Graduated in 2003 when Britney Spears' song Hit Me Baby One More Time came out.

It is not ok to wear a school girl uniform unless:

A.) You are actually attending a private school where it is mandatory, or
B.) You are dressing up as an uber ho for halloween.

It is still not ok to dress up like that in the bedroom- tell your boyfriend to get a life.

Sock it to ME!

Well, little did I realize that socks are back, and in a big way. I was gonna knock the long sock, saying it is sooo lover's lane middle age fantasy, but from doing further research, I guess it coming back in style. Don't get me wrong, I grew up in the midwest, socks were like, well, underwear, and yes, we all know its questionable just how necessary they are, but socks have always been a part of my wardrobe. Not until recently, have I really been paying attention to the colors and lengths of my socks. I love the whole idea of bringing back your youth, because we all know bringing back our innocence is completely out of the question. The only thing about the thigh high sock that really gets to me...is that, I've been seeing girls where those candy striped thigh highs and they just look straight up trashy, like a 16 year old-Hot Topic-10 years ago kind of trashy. I think the simpler the better, sure texture is always fun, but when it comes to covering more than half your leg, you don't need some optical illusion, black and white witch stripe sock to make your point.

New Hair Do's? Or New Hair Don'ts?

So we've done the ponytail, the braid, the wave, the shave, but does this take the term up-do to a completely new level? I think so. Throughout history, different cultures have decorated and made their hair into ornamental art pieces. From renaissance England, to the tribes in Africa, hair has always been a depiction of status. So what do these hairstyles say? To me it screams, Lady and the Tramp. I have noticed people's dogs actually having a shockingly resembalence to their owners.

Is LA Behind the Times?

Is really that hard to find a pair of high-waisted skinny jeans here? I mean, come on, I move all the way here from Chicago, thinking that this is where I should be in order to be surrounded by a fashion industry, and they give me this? They give me, leggings and flannel? As if that hasn't been the "in" thing for the past two years already? I'm over it. I need something new. I've been designing high-waisted pants for three years already, before they were even considered to be back in. Why oh why, have they not made it here yet? Just a thought to ponder.
